    Wild Pigs m/c History

The Wild Pigs M/C was formed in 1987 by a group of police officers from the San Jose Police Department in San Jose, California. The group of approximately 15 police officers, who enjoyed riding in an informal status, later invited some Santa Clara County Sheriffs Deputies to join them during their rides. As the club grew, a formal code became necessary for the club to operate properly. A short while later, the club name and logo were created. Today, there are over twenty Wild Pigs M/C chapters throughout the country.

The Wild Pigs Motorcycle Club Chicago chapter was founded by 13 charter members in January 1994. Among the 13 charter members was Mike "Hogman" Wolf. The club grew very rapidly, and in 1999, a Rockford Chapter was chartered. Included among the charter members of the Rockford Chapter was Mike Wolf. In 2001, the Wild Pigs split into several clubs after a lengthy lawsuit involving the trademark of the Wild Pig colors and name. The entire membership of the Rockford Chapter elected to stay with the original Wild Pigs.

In 2003, after the original Chicago Chapter disbaned, President Mike Wolf and Dale " Dahli" Altman petitioned for, and received the charter for the Chicago Chapter. This signaled the rebirth of the Chicago Chapter of the Wild Pigs M/C. In 2004, the club added one member. In 2005, the Chicago chapter added 8 more members. The club grew steadily from the two charter members to the present day 20 members.

The Chicago Chapter has had a rich history of brotherhood and service to the law enforcement community and the motorcycle community.
The club has many chapter functions and rides every year including a Pig Roast every July to raise money for law enforcement charities and motorcycle awareness. The club also supports the other law enforcement motorcycle clubs in the Chicago area by participating in their club rides and events.
